Against all predictions, Logica looked stronger and fitter in the second game [see first match], and were very unlucky not to win. Twice Park led in the first half, and twice Logica showed great character in coming back to equalise. First sent clear to slot home very precisely from eighteen yards. Then a long spell of Logica pressure culminated in a penalty which converted with his usual aplomb. A killer blow at the outset of the second half caught the home side off balance. Not for the first time that morning there was hesitation between defenders, and a Holland Park forward nipped in to score. This time Logica could not get an equaliser, despite a gallant effort.
The late arrival of (even later than usual) for the last half an hour added greatly to Logica's attacking potential. It was through the subtle touches and threaded passes of the youngish Scotsman that most opportunities were created. , and all had efforts saved, and a good strike from himself was not far wide. But at the end of the day, you have to score more goals than the opposition over the ninety minutes to get the two points in the bag, and Logica just didn't get that small rub of the green that all winning teams need to get at some point.
